The Van Dun Bridge

The new pedestrian bridge in the town of L’Assomption stands out as a landmark, recognizable for its bold orange-red color, contrasting with the surrounding landscapes. The bridge’s masts play both a structural and symbolic role: with their geometry, they form an “A” for Assomption, becoming a visual signature of the town. With this the structure, it is highlighted the role of the cables as both functional and aesthetic elements.

For the Van Dun Bridge project, Teufelberger Redaelli contributed as a specialized supplier of high-performance cable systems. Delivery to site took place in January 2025, in line with the project schedule.

Scope of supply – technical details:

  • No. 2 stay cables OSS092 with TTF-BRC sockets, approx. 20 m length
  • No. 2 main cables OSS092 with TTF-BRC sockets, approx. 100 m length
  • No. 2 stabilizer cables OSS032 with TTF-BRC sockets, approx. 95 m length
  • No. 56 hanger cables (pendants) OSS016 with MAC-TBC sockets
  • No. 28 clamps

Total supplied lengths:

  • OSS092 ropes: 240 m
  • OSS032 ropes: 200 m
  • OSS016 ropes: 300 m
